Trozzolo Communications Group founder and Executive Chairman Pasquale Trozzolo is adding a new title to his resume – published poet.
His debut poetry chapbook, “Before the Distance,” is now available for presale ahead of its Dec. 1 release date. All proceeds from the presale will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Semiretired and looking for his next adventure, Pasquale picked up a book of poetry, and a new pursuit was born. Pasquale hit the books to learn and even enrolled in an online poetry classes from Oxford University. When the pandemic struck, and he started to share what he calls “Virus Poems.”
Pasquale’s poems examine a longing for whatever normal once was, and feature themes of escapism, friendship, yearning and sorrow. They ask the questions we’re too scared to ask ourselves and return to the same question: Why?
When Pasquale’s granddaughter’s high school graduation was postponed this past May, he wanted to cheer her up. He wrote a poem titled “Graduation,” bound the poem with a group of others and presented it to her as a homemade book of poems.
The graduation gift was popular among friends and family and Pasquale shared it with a handful of publishers. He received an offer from a small independent press to publish his first book, “Before the Distance.” He is already working on his second book of poetry.
