Social Media Intern

JOB PURPOSE

The Trozzolo social media intern is an integral part of the Social Media Team. Our social media interns learn the fundamentals of social media management – encompassing content creation, platform best practices, community engagement, performance analysis, and campaign execution. As a social media intern, you will assist with content development, contribute to social media calendars, engage with online communities, track and report on performance, and collaborate across various agency departments.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
Ideal candidates are digitally savvy and passionate about social media trends. They possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, are creative thinkers, and have a keen eye for visual aesthetics. They are comfortable working collaboratively and can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X) and basic understanding of social media analytics are a plus. They are proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn!

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The social media intern reports to their supervisor, Natalie Dupin, Senior Social Media Strategist.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the creation of engaging and platform-appropriate content (text, images, short-form video ideas).
• Contribute to the development and scheduling of social media calendars.
• Support community management efforts by monitoring conversations and engaging with followers.
• Conduct research on social media trends, competitor activity, and relevant industry topics.
• Assist with the execution of social media campaigns and initiatives.
• Track and report on basic social media performance metrics.
• Collaborate with the creative, digital, PR, and account service teams to ensure integrated campaign execution.
• Assist with the development of social media presentations and reports.
• Adhere to proper review and proofing processes before publishing.
• Help maintain and organize social media assets and libraries.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions for ongoing social media clients.
• Lead a portion of the intern project, contributing your social media expertise to the overall initiative.
• Lead intern content strategy and publishing of weekly intern posts on TCG social.
